Today's is a uber boring day! Practiced for Saturday's service and played Starcraft. OMG! Starcraft is a super fun despite the substandard graphics compared to nowadays ultra realistic graphics! I could play with Jem through midnight man! Thumbs up for Blizzard! Can't wait for Starcraft 2!
anyway..
I've decided to expand my skills by getting a professional guitar teacher. He is none other than the amazing Paul Danial! It's worth the bucks for sure.
But...
Why do i need a professional guitar teacher for? We impress from far and impact at close. I want to dream big for the future. I don't want to be stuck here for the next few years! And also ministry wise, for sure, in the near future, there will be good musicians whom i will be leading. I need to expect myself to be more competent, in order to impart the spirit. It's a spiritual ministry after all!
I'm anticipating for my first lesson. I even got a homework already! Haha!
Wish me best man! :)

[God Protects Them]
God protects those who are for him. I was reading up some end times stuff last night and was amazed at how loving my God is. An omnipotent God yet loving. I'm blessed to have Him in my life! This week was a rather busy one but God was faithful and He stood by me. All things went smoothly and i saw God's providence and protection upon me. Most importantly. Company.
God was my company this week. Feeling lonely isn't a choice for me now. But i thank God for his comfort. It reminds me of a simple illustration of a shepherd and a friend. Psalm 23.
Thank you, Jesus.

Oh God, i wish i live in America where i can buy guns. I don't mind shooting at anything! Especially irritating people!(Watch out! >:( ) Hehe! I want to shoot crows too. Singapore crows are so disgustingly big nowadays! They even attack people!!! Scum of all birds! (Gosh, i'm so random)

Hello! This is 100th post!! Yay!! HAHA! Well. Things had been going very well since the day my parents left. Things are well over there in Sweden too!
Recently, God had spoken to me in the most unlikely manner. Those are based on different aspects. Worship Ministry, Building the Kingdom and Personal life.
1. Worship Ministry
Spirit Vs. Skills?
This is a very tough topic. Of course there are no definite answer to it. If you ask me this question, i shall post one to you. 'Are you in the Kingdom's Business or the business of the World?'. Our Kingdom-minded behaviour and attitude will determine the answer for it.
From my point of view...
Skills: Skills are wonderful, you need them. What if a musician who doesn't even know what a triad is? Wouldn't it be horrible? It's a total incompetency. Skills make things easier and allow you to minister with lesser stress because you will definitely know that everything that are technical are in your hands.
Spirit: We are doing God's work. Doing God's work without God, wouldn't it be an irony? We all serve God with God in the picture. As a musician, especially myself, i tend to find technicality as a major part of the music. But to a worshipper or a music listener, the lyrics, emotion and spirit of the song is more important. We've gotta be more open-minded and also more spirit-led. Spirit can be discern easily.
Skills can always be taught but spirit can never be. You can only catch the spirit. And if you hunger for it, God will give. Desire for double portion! Ask God to take away your pride.
At the end of the day, you know what you do pleases God the most. We can't serve 2 masters. It's either God or the World.
Praise and Worship atmosphere
Stage ministers should set the standard and the 'level' of the spiritual atmosphere during services. Every Service should be one that change lives and one that is filled with breakthroughs and the overflow of the Holy Spirit. There are many factors of stage ministers that will determine the 'level':
-Humility.
-The worship attitude.
-Closeness with God.
-Spirit of Excellence.
-Desire
There are still many factors but these are one of those that are essential.
Example: Let's say that the congregation spiritual atmosphere 'level' 100, the stage minister should set a 'level' 101 to deliver a powerful praise and worship.
Everything can work. Even an organisation. But what makes the Church different from an organisation is the 'Spirit' Factor.
Worship ministry is about touching lives, changing every individual from the inside out and directing them to God.
2. Building the Kingdom
Recently, God spoke a lot about this. It gave me such a strong zeal to give more. Ever wonder why people say,'Invest your life for God!'? Just flip to Matthew 6:33 of your Bible. It's about doing God's business, the Kingdom's Business. Logically, we will eventually get more than what we give. Because God is a loving God!
We give our best, God will take care of the rest. Waiting for God's timing is the most important. By our sinful nature, we will definitely be last minute if we know when God is coming. That's when willingness and faith comes in. Do you still want to invest even though you don't know when God will bless? Honestly, God will bless you for sure! God doesn't want to spoon-feed us.
To simplify, do you want to serve with all your heart or not at all?
For myself! I want to serve! With everything i have. I want to look far! Having a long-vision is biblical. I want to see myself discipling more guitar players and leading a group of spirit-filled musicians who wants to serve God with all their lives. Each of them giving their individual best to advance the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God must grow! And it starts from myself! Be the clean vessel that God uses :)
3. Personal Life
A desperate and hungry man will eat anything and will do anything to find it.
Same for our growth. If we are desperate and hungry enough for growth, we will do anything to grow! Be it fasting, serving with more fervor, taking care of a younger believer, being a leader etc.
Growth comes when we decide to step out of our comfort zones. Because you will feel stretched.
People who have short-fervor syndromes, non-kingdom-minded mentality, short-vision-ed, spirit-filled but does nothing and those who does everything but don't understand what are they doing, SHOULD BE GODSMACK.
Where is your sense of urgency! It's not about being able to grow very fast! If your direction is the same as mine, you will realise that our personal life will determine every single thing that we do for God, vice-versa
How to bring more people to God? Answer is, live a credible and fulfilling life! It's not about going around shopping centers or bus stations to evangelize again and again. It's good. But it's quite retarded if your life isn't walking right with God and you keep on doing it.
Our life is the most important, if i'm not walking right with God, i will stop serving and get my walk right before i continue to serve. I don't want to sabotage the congregation or my people.
How often do you pray as if God holds every single second of your life and He have total control over it? Prayer is so important. It's a communicating with God. As a new believer, we all learn to pray. But please, don't stop praying. Even if you're a 20 year old christian, still do pray for little things like, bus arriving on time and etc.
When the rubber hits the road, there will be many stumbling blocks. Are you strong enough to withstand all the opposition? Your walk with God will determine it.

Today is 25th March 2008, which means my parents are leaving very soon. Just got a scolding from Daddy on msn last night, saying that i wasn't really giving much attention to them especially when they are about to leave for Sweden. I was rather defensive, giving a reason saying that i've got test commitment and church stuffs. Then i was wondering, how can they be such a low priority in my life.
It has been some time since i chatted with them and have a decent meal together. Everytime is all those troublesome and bothersome things going on which ruin my mood when i'm with them. I can say, it does sucks alot and it irritates me to the core.
I don't know about you and i don't wish to compare. I'm a very people-oriented person and of course, i do like the presence of people. What else lesser when those people are my parents, who watch me suckle the pacifier(FACT: though i didn't ever did one before!) when i was a baby, all the way till present day. They meant alot to me and still mean alot!
I'm not upset, just disappointed. I can't give even that little time for them when they could be there for me. And worst still, 5th April 2008 is very close. I'm not sure whether will i cry on that day.
So many forms of love, this is the toughest to comprehend and it's not within your simple knowledge. For husband and wife, we know it clearly, it's very evident in movies and TV dramas. For God's love, you can find it in the Bible. For this mutual love between parents and child, you don't see it so often anywhere. It's difficult to express and out of our comfort zone to show that 'Love'. Maybe Time and Presence are the best gift.
Okay, it's giving me cramps in my heart. Goodnight.
